Chery Alve FSO small Spyshots: Chery Alve, la Chinoise fabriquée en PologneA few months ago, we did echo the discussions between the Chinese Chery and the Polish FSO . FSO is very bad. It should produce just 40,000 Chevrolet this year, against 59,695 cars in 2009 and 149,975 cars in 2010. If the factory closes, 1 300 jobs would be destroyed. Hence the idea of bouncing producing Chery.

Everyone would benefit. FSO would be enough to hold its 1300 employees and Chery could put a second foot in Europe (it is already present in Italy, via CD .)

A Polish amateur paparazzo made a funny discovery: a Chery A3 with a sticker “FSO” on the windshield.

It has no logos, but at the back it is marked “Alva” (one can imagine thatAudi Poland would not appreciate too that car is sold under the name of “A3″). It also noted that the dashboard is unprecedented.

Obviously, many questions remain unanswered. Starting with the engines, the type of production (actual production or simply CKD), the scheduled launch, export potential, etc..
